SAILING

You might say that sailing is, by definition, a team building activity. It’s hard to imagine only one person tackling the ropes and doing it successfully.

An inspirational medium for motivating, communicating, interacting and working as team! A strong sense of camaraderie and competitive spirit shines from all participants, strengthening business relationships and leaving every crew member with lasting memories to build upon. You learn how to accept risks, rely on others for help, find nonconflict solutions, and set priorities. You learn about leadership, selfrespect and respect for other team/crew members.

These are all qualities required in corporate life and in business. Hard individualists and uncooperative members of team are easily identified in sailing and prove to be intolerant, exclusive, rigid and having poor selfcontrol. Business life has shown that you can manage to get away with such personality traits in a company, though such people have negative impact on thefi nal business result eventually. But sailing not only helps to identify non-team players but it points out the direction in which to develop and how to build a better personality to become a good teamplayer able to sail in “corporate” waters.

These team building programmes are carried out on Ban tours own fleet of Dufour sailing boats in a unique landscape featuring Croatian islands, small villages and towns, under professional guidance of top professionals and our skippers. There is a wide range of activities on offer, such as regatta, sailing tuition, and sailing combined with other activities such as trekking, hiking, diving and bowling. We would like to point out a programme combing sailing and overnight stay at a hotel (five, four or three star depending on the destination and additional programme) with additional treats such as wellness, tennis tournament, business seminar, workshop, presentation for your business partners, sailing including a gastronomic tour and cooking course.
